To mark the centenary of the sailing of the great ship Titanic which sunk on its maiden voyage, acclaimed director James Cameron is coming up with a 3D version of his hit, Oscar winning movie Titanic which was released in 1997.
“We're targeting spring of 2012 for the release (of a 3D version of 'Titanic'), which is the 100th anniversary of the sailing of the ship,” contact music quoted Cameron as saying.
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in leading roles, the movie was a blockbuster hit and was nominated for fourteen Oscars out of which it bagged eleven.
Cameron also revealed his plan to release the director’s cut of his latest film Avatar later this year. He confirms that the film might re-release in the fall of 2010.
