Seeking Perfection: Hrithik turns true magician for Guzaarish

Hrithik Roshan, who plays a magician in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish, learnt several magic tricks but on screen he will enthrall the audience with seven tricks –– the magical ball, the paper trick, candle act, fire in his hand, cutting a lady, levitation and pulling endless cloth.

"Hrithik is an extremely observant and quick learner. Still he had to invest a lot of time on perfecting the magic acts taught by a professional, researching about magicians, their lives and understanding illusion, as it was something very new for him. And mostly all this was done on the sets,” said a unit member of the film.

And watching him perform magic made every one on the set smile and applaud. “Once Suzanne walked onto the set when Hrithik was performing. She watched the entire act on the monitor
and was so touched and moved by the beauty and lyricism of magic unfolding right in front of her eyes that tears started rolling down her eyes. Hrithik hugged her and had to console her,” continued the source adding, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali would also be present when he was rehearsing and together they would improvise and experiment."

According to the production team there was nothing that Hrithik found difficult to learn and picked up all the tricks pretty fast, sometimes to the amazement of the trainer magician himself.

"All the tricks in the film are grand and unseen and their visual quality will enthrall not only the youngsters but every person in the theatre
. And each act is woven in the storyline and will give the audience more insight into Hrithik's character,” revealed the source.

When asked if he can still perform any tricks, Hrithik laughed with a twinkle in his eye. “I can do the card-trick where the entire pack vanishes and can pull out endless cloth,” he said.

In fact, magic was something everyone wanted to learn at the set and it is heard that even Aishwarya could not resist it and learned couple of tricks!
