Shahrukh in Hollywood Movie Xtreme City with co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio

Shahrukh Khan team up with Leonardo DiCaprio!: Shahrukh Khan, the superstar of Hindi cinema, is finally set to make a foray into Hollywood with a film titled Xtrme City, co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

The project will be jointly produced by Shahrukh and the acclaimed producer-director Martin Scorsese. Paul Schrader, the screenwriter of films like Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, will direct the movie.
The film’s screenplay is penned jointly by Schrader and SRK’s good friend and author Mushtaq Sheikh. Sheikh also confirms that Scorsese has gone through the script and liked it very much.

The project was discussed at length last year during the Berlin Film Festival where Shahrukh had gone with Mushtaq for the premiere of his film My Name Is Khan. Scorsese and DiCaprio too were there for their film Shutter Island.

The quartet, along with Schrader, met on the sidelines of the festival and discussed a possible collaboration between two of the biggest film producing industries in the world.

The result is Xtrme City that will have Shahrukh sharing the screen space with the Titanic star, DiCaprio.

Shahrukh Khan's 'Zor Ka Jhatka' show rejected

Shahrukh Khan's 'Zor Ka Jhatka' show rejected: It’s Shahrukh Khan who has got Zor Ka Jhatka, that too for the second time on boob tube.

The television show Zor Ka Jhatka hosted by Shahrukh and shot in Argentina has been getting dismally low TRPs ever since it went on air on Feb 1. It’s TVR on the opening day was 2.6, which is shockingly low for any show hosted by a major Bollywood star on TV. But more shocking is how the show’s TVR has dipped steadily to the range of 1.3 to 0.8.

This is the second time Shahrukh has faced rejection on the small screen after his show Kya Aap Panchvi Paas Se Tez Hai flopped three years ago.

In fact, Zor Ka Jhatka has got even lesser viewership than Rakhi Ka Insaaf.
Some feel that Shahrukh has not fully committed himself to the show. He did not fly to Argentina to shoot with the contestants but rather shot his portions in a studio. His shots were added to the Argentina shoot on the editing table to give the impression that he was on location.

Actor Roshan Abbas debutant in Dictorial under Shahrukh's Red Chillies Entertainment Banner

Shahurkh Khan
Actor Roshan Abbas, who is making his directorial debut with “Always Kabhi Kabhi” under Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment banner, said the superstar has some unique promotional ideas up his sleeve. “His involvement is there but he is also shooting for two movies. He has ‘RA.One’ on one side and ‘Don2′ on the other, but in the midst of these, his support is always there and you will get to see some unique Shahrukh ideas as we go along,” Abbas told IANS in an interview.

Shahrukh is in touch with his office from Malaysia, where he is shooting for ‘Don2′, said Abbas. “Currently, he is in Malaysia. But he has seen the marketing plan of the film. He is continuously in contact with Red Chiiles because he wants to know what we are doing, what our ideas are to promote the film. He has also given us some ideas,” said Abbas. “Once you see the posters, which would be out soon, you will see how the Red Chillies’ look and feel has come into this film,” he added. Abbas also said he regards Shahrukh as his mentor.

He has always been around on the sets. He is the busiest person on this planet. Even in the middle of that, he used to find time for my film. That’s what makes him really interesting. He was there as a mentor in that sense, but he has not been a tormentor, Abbas laughed. Set in a high school, Always ‘Kabhi Kabhi’ captures the emotions of love, jealousy and pride that marks one’s school years. ‘It’s an adaptation of my play about a high school ‘Graffiti’, which I earlier wanted to turn into a graphic novel,’ Abbas said.
