Fate, it seems isn’t without a sense of irony.. A bird tells us that Mamta Mohandas was the first girl who was offered the role in the stupendous hit ‘Simha’. She was to play the character played by Nayantara.

However, Mamta didn’t find the role too ‘meaty’ enough and she opted not to do the film. But after seeing the film, everyone will have to agree that after Balayya babu’s characters, the other role that got any credit was that of Nayantara. She looked gorgeous on screen and did her role in style.

But now that Mamta missed ‘Simha’s chance, she is ruing the loss of golden opportunity.
