Hard Kaur talented Indian Rapper and Hip Hop Singer

Talented Hard Kaur (Taran Kaur Dhillon) is an Indian rapper and hip hop singer. She sung songs for number of Hindi films. She is termed as the first female Indian rapper and is a participant in the television dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Season 3’. She also appeared in the 2011 film, ‘Patiala House’, where she plays the role of Akshay Kumar’s cousin.

Pop Star Usha Uthup got Padmashri from President Pratibha Devisigh Patil

President Pratibha Patil on Friday presented the second lot of Padma awards for 2011 to 64 winners, including Telugu film star Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Among the Padma Shri awardees were actors Kajol Devgan and Sahabzade Irfan Ali Khan, singer Usha Uthup, filmmaker Girish Kasaravalli, sportspersons Gagan Narang and Krishna Poonia, Tamil scholar Avvai Natarajan, legal expert Upendra Baxi among others.
Usha Uthup is a name torecon with in music industry. A versatile singer and an actress, she was the first one to cut music albums. Her songs with Western touch alays mesmerised masses. Three cheers to Usha Uthup for winning the coveted honour.
