Filmstar', allegedly a rip off of Sreenivasan-Mohanlal starrer 'Udayananu Tharam', is in its final schedule of shooting.

Dileep plays the innocent scriptwriter and Kalabhavan Mani, an "ugly, selfish, pompous and undeserving" superstar, it is head.

Debutant Sanjeev Raj directs the film.  Another track in the movie is about the intense bonding between a superstar and a layman in a remote village (Inspired by 'Katha Parayumbol'?). The film will surely give us a glimse into the workings of the film industry.

Dileep is currently busy with another comedy, 'Kaaryasthan' also. Rambha and Muktha George play the female leads.
