No steamy sequence between Salman-Asin in Ready: Anees Bazmee

Director Anees Bazmee has denied rumours that his forthcoming film 'Ready' includes a steamy sequence between leading stars Salman Khan and Asin. "I don't know where these rumours came from. There is no steamy sequence between Salman and Asin in 'Ready'," said Bazmee.

The director insisted that the film is squeaky clean and has no such scene which might make it unfit for family viewing. "I don't make films which I can't watch with my own family. Look at any of my films so far, they can be seen comfortably without worrying that anything untoward may come on screen," said Bazmee.

"Whatever little intimacy is shown on screen, it is a part of a song and dance sequence. That too is strictly within the boundaries," he added. Comedy continues to be his poison, what with 'Thank You' releasing before 'Ready'. Also, couple of months back Bazmee had another comic release in 'No Problem'. Doesn't the director in him ever crave to make some serious cinema? "Who said comedy isn't serious business? I do my job rather seriously. A film of mine may or may not work but then no one can say that I made a cheap comedy. Also, vulgarity doesn't have any place in my cinema. I don't believe in having any double meaning dialogues in my films," he said.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has recently admitted that he makes films, not money, so reviving an old film requires courage. If the recent buzz is to be believed than the director has started thinking again about his magnum opus Bajirao Mastani with Salman and Kareena. The movie was planned in the year 2003 and Sanjay was eager to have Aishwarya Rai in the lead role of Mastani opposite Salman. But because of the Salman and Aishwarya break-up, the director abandoned the thought of making the film with the couple.

Later he went on to make other films but he couldn’t actually part with Bajirao Mastani. Sanjay even thought of Kareena at that time for the role but nothing could materialize. Afterwards, Bajirao Mastani was tagged as a jinxed film.

The film narrates the love story of Peshwa Bajirao and his second wife Mastani, who was a Muslim. Their relationship was also the reason of much rift in the orthodox Marathi society of that time and led to a major crisis within the royal Peshwa family. Mastani was a brave lady; she was a skilled horse-rider and used to go to the battlefield with her valiant husband.

With a skilled director like Sanjay, we can expect Bajirao Mastani to be another grandiose, epic film.

The show reportedly got its highest TRPs the day Anderson entered the house, beating the record set by the viewing figures of rival Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

The Playboy Playmate is reportedly getting 2.5 crore rupees (BD207,450) for her three-day stint in the house. Earlier, British actress and Playboy model Kelly Brook had been approached, but she turned down the offer.

Anderson is the second Western celebrity to appear on the show, late reality star Jade Goody starred in the 2008 series, only to leave soon after entering the house after receiving her cancer diagnosis from doctors.

With the Bombay High Court staying the ministry's directive to reschedule the show's timing, Anderson's antics are now part of Indian TV's prime time.

Actor Nikhil Dwivedi was in for a pleasant surprise when Salman gifted him six leather jackets from his personal collection, and a painting to boot.

A source close to Nikhil says, "The two have been bonding for some time. In fact, Nikhil was in the front row at the Being Human show in Mumbai.

One day, Sallu told the young actor he had something for him and got him two jackets. He then got him four more.

In fact, he's even worn some of them in his films like Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. In those days, Salman would often wear his personal stuff on screen, too."

Apart from the jackets, Khan also gifted Dwivedi a painting. The source adds, "Nikhil had asked Salman to write down something for him.

But instead of writing a message, he painted something on the spot and gifted it to him. During their last meeting, Salman even encouraged the youngster to always be positive about his work."

Nikhil refused to comment saying it was a personal matter.

Buzz is that he plans to wear a couple of those jackets in his future projects, hoping Salman's luck might rub off on him! He will next be seen in Ekta Kapoor's Shorr, with Tusshar Kapoor.

The 44-year-old Khan, who already runs the ‘Being Human’ charity, has vowed to save lives by donating marrow.

“Donating marrow is a simple act, it's as simple as donating blood. But this simple act can save the life of someone suffering from blood cancer, thalassemia and other major blood-related diseases,” Salman said in a statement.

Bone marrow donation can save lives of patients suffering from blood cancer, thalassemia, aplastic anemia, congenital immunodeficiency states and other such blood related diseases.

“I am pledging my marrow with MDRI (Marrow Donor Registry of India) so that in an emergency, if a patient's sample matches mine, I can be reached to donate my marrow,” Salman added.

The superstar also urged people to follow his example and pledge to donate their marrow.

“The more the donors, the more lives we save. So I urge that all of you who are blessed with good health come forward and pledge your marrow,” he said.

The star has also realized his worth and started demanding a fee hike for any television show. The Dabangg Khan has reportedly asked for a whopping sum of Rs 2.5 crore per episode to host money-churning show 'Dus Ka Dum'.

The earlier two seasons of the show was hosted by the actor himself but this time he will be very expensive for the channel. Salman has reportedly said that he would return to the show only if he is paid the said amount, which is almost 51% more than what he was paid for the last two seasons of the show.

A source confirmed the news saying that the channel earlier paid him Rs 1.65 crore per episode in the earlier seasons. But the reports are contrasting as it says that Salman charged only Rs 89 crore for the total 104 episodes of the first season. But the source said that the figure was only portrayed for media.

Salman seems to have planned to break all the records by any other Bollywood star by demanding this huge amount.

He is now hosting Colors' popular reality show 'Bigg Boss Season 4'. Sallu has already broken the records made by veteran stars like Amitabh Bachchan and superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

He has demanded much more than his present fees for 'Bigg Boss 4' in which he is reportedly being paid Rs 2 crore per episode. However, this is a package deal, which involves various public appearances and other promotional activities.

A massive feast awaited the Golmaal 3 cast members and Director Rohit Shetty when they visited the sets of Bigg Boss. Thanks to Salman Khan, who treated Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu after he heard of the film having got a big opening. The Diwali special episode will be telecast on Colours channel tonight.

A source from the Bigg Boss sets said: "Salman is known as the large-hearted Khan in B-Town. Yesterday he proved it once again when he personally invited the Golmaal 3 cast along with director Rohit Shetty for lunch at his specially-erected home."

"Though each of the cast members and Rohit had their individual vans, Salman insisted they all join him for lunch. Salman was genuinely happy to hear from Rohit and Ajay that Golmaal 3 got a good opening and collected almost Rs 10 crore on the opening day, " he added.

It was a royal feast with delicious food cooked and packed from Salman's home. The source said, "The menu included a variety of Diwali sweets from kaju barfis to gajar ka halwa.

Chicken tikka, mutton biryani, corn palak and daal was also on the menu. Salman ribbed Tusshar about his deaf and mute act in the film and told him how much he enjoyed it. He even mimicked the act."

That wasn't all. "Ajay, Rohit and Kareena went inside the Bigg Boss house while Shreyas and Tusshar stayed with Salman outside. When Salman asked Rohit which Bigg Boss 3 contestant would he cast in Golmaal 4, Rohit replied Aanchal. This, was because she was the quietest member of the house and would be a fine romantic partner for Tusshar's character."

Rohit Shetty said, "It was good fun meeting Salman and the other team members in BB4. I'm very happy that Golmaal 3 has got a bumper opening all over."

"Diwali is a time of festivities and joy and our film is an embodiment of that. I hope G3 brings lots of happiness people's lives, " he added.

Why nobody but Salman let Govinda dub at his studio

Actor has been banned from dubbing at certain studios Govinda has two releases lined up - Ravi Chopra's Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai and Neeraj Vora's Run Bhola Run. The actor was to dub for the films, but he wasn't given permission for recording at certain studios because on several occasions in the past, he never showed up in time for the booking.

Chi Chi ended up dubbing his films at Salman's studio in Andheri after other establishments refused to let him dub in their premises.

An source says, "Govinda never arrived to the studio on time, and then he delayed the booking of the next person.

This happened many times, and all studios decided to ban him, after many bookings for shift following Govinda's had to be cancelled as the actor finished late. Since the studios didn't want to lose money they politely refused him from using their services."

The producers of Run Bhola Run and Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai were in a fix about how to finish Chi Chi's portions. Finally, Chi Chi requested Salman to let him record at his studio in Andheri called Sight And Sound.

Govinda denies this, "I have been jobless for more than a year as all my films are complete. All my recordings for Run Bhola Run and Banda Yeh Bindass Hai are complete and I haven't any new film for me to record, so this is not true. I have been recording only at Salman (Khan's) studio in Andheri, Sight And Sound ever since I did Partner, as I consider it lucky for me. "Ever since I recorded for Partner in Salman's studio I signed many films after that so I consider it to be auspicious. I have recorded all my future releases there, including other productions. Though Salman owns the studio I think he has asked someone to run it for him now."

Salman Khan back to 'Dus Ka Dum' on his own demand

Salman Khan back to 'Dus Ka Dum' on his own demand: Not the one to take a rebuke lying down, Salman Khan has finally made the broadcasters of the television show Dus Ka Dum kowtow to his demands.

Now, as the reports allege, Salman is set to return as the game show’s host for the third season, which will be go on air only next year. But what’s significant is Salman’s return to the show, which looked all but beleaguered in the flamboyant host’s absence.

As was reported earlier, Salman was set to host the third season this year, but the channel did not compromise on Salman’s demand for a fee hike. Last year, Salman had deliberately slashed his fee because the channel was reeling with the effects of economic recession. So the actor obviously did not take it kindly that the channel shot down his demand for a fee increment this year.

The result was that Salman bowed out of the show. The channel people obviously weren’t able to find a replacement for Salman. After all, who can match that charm, that spontaneity and those off-the-cuff wisecracks of Sallu?

Reports say that last week, the channel approached Salman again and agreed to do the show on his terms and conditions. Salman, too, did not show any airs and agreed to host the third season.

All’s well that ends well.
