Shruthi Hassan hot perfomance in 7am Arivu

Shruti Haasan Performance In 7am ArivuShruti Haasan’s career is zipping ahead and is all set to hit the stratosphere very soon with the release of 7 am Arivu. Her director AR Murugadoss cannot stop talking about Shruti and her performance in 7am Arivu.

The grapevine has it that her character is the pivot around which the Suriya film revolves. Suriya and Shruti, the new romantic pair will sizzle on screen with their chemistry. There are unconfirmed reports that Shruti has sung a song in the film which has music by Harris Jayaraj.

Remember Shruti had earlier sung the chartbuster Adiye Kolluthe for Harris in Vaaranam Aayiram? Recently Shruthi wore a traditional saree for 7am Arivu. Everybody on the sets just could not stop gaping in admiration, as she looked stunning and beautiful. Her costumes in the film will give her an all new look.

Meanwhile stories have appeared in Mumbai press that Shruti and Siddharth are “living together to know each other better.”  When contacted Shruti told tkada “I’m a very private person when it comes to my personal life. I have never discussed it with the media and I hope everyone will respect it”

TFPC-Tamil Film Producers Council banned actress Ileana

Tamil Film Producers Council Banned Actress IleanaIs leading south Indian actress Ileana going to get banned by the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) Ileana who had a few years back done KD in Tamil, had become a big heroine in Tollywood but avoided Kollywood like a plague.

After many unsuccessful attempts she was to be re-launched in Tamil with Vikram’s Vijay directed Deiva Thiru Magal. But the actress at the last minute walked out and was replaced by Amala Paul. She did not want to play the role of a married woman with a child in the film.

The producer of Deiva Thirumagal Mogan Natarajan has another story to tell. He says she took an advance of Rs 36 lakhs and never cared to return it.

Mogan in an interview to a newspaper has said that she had given the same dates to do Shankar’s Nanban, where she is playing Vijay’s heroine.

The peeved producer also added that Ileana was evasive about repaying his signing amount. The latest we hear is that Mogan Natarajan a veteran producer will be approaching TFPC (Tamil Film Producers Council) to issue a red card. Meanwhile,  Ileana has fallen foul of Telugu producers after she stayed away from the promotions of her NTR film Shakthi.

Swathi as Slum Girl in Porali

Subramaniapuram’ fame Swathi, who is back in Tamil cinema with ‘Porali’ directed by Samuthirakani, is playing a slum dweller in the film. “It is yet another meaty role for her,” according to unit sources.

“Since she has to speak pucca local Tamil, the Telugu girl is learning the Chennai language. Her character will be very bubbly and will make the audience to laugh out loud,” they add.

‘Porali’, produced by Sasikumar, revolves around five protagonists. “The director has finalised four of them (Sasikumar, Swathi, ‘Allari’ Naresh and Vasundhara) and a hunt is one for the fifth.”

The film, like the previous movies of Sasikumar and Samuthirakani, will have a right mixture of humour, sentiment and action. “The shooting will be completed in 80 days,” says the director.

Simbhu clarified that the roumour about his Marrige

Simbhu Get MarriageDuring the press conference of the launch of his next film, Osthi, Simbu has clarified that the rumor about of his marriage is false. Simbu says “All the rumors about my marriage are untrue. Currently I and my family are not even in the hunt of the bride. I will get married only when I find a girl of my liking.”

On his decision to work in Dabangg remake, Simbu said “I loved the film during the first glance itself and moreover I liked the attitude of the role played by Salman Khan. I am also happy that I am playing the role of a cop for the first time in my career.”

Osthi is directed by Dharani and will have Richa Gangopadhyay as female lead opposite Simbu. Revathy and Jithan Ramesh are playing important roles in the film. The role of Dimple, the mother of the hero, will be done by Revathi who returns to Tamil films after a gap. Dharani disclosed that Sonu Sood would continue as the villain in the Tamil version as well while Gopinath is doing the camerawork. S Thaman handles the music.

Telungu Movie Badrinath dubbed in Tamil

Allu Arjun Film Badrinath Dubbing In Tamil Release JuneOne of the costliest Telugu films releasing for summer is Allu Arjun’s Badrinath. Allu Arjun who has a very big market in Kerala gets all his films dubbed into Malayalam.

Now for the first time ever, Allu Arjun’s Badrinath is getting dubbed into Tamil also. The film produced by Geeta Arts Allu Aravind is directed by top commercial director VV Vinayak and has Tamannah in the female lead.

Tamil comedian Santhanam is doing an important part in the film. Last week scenes of Santhanam comedy track with Allu Arjun was shot for three days in Chennai.

It will give Badrinath a local flavour, and an edge in the Tamil dubbing market. Badrinath has huge potential and that is the reason why it is getting dubbed into Tamil.

In the film which has music by Keeravani, the song Iktaaraa  Iktaaraa is creating waves. Remember Allu Arjun is a superb dancer and he also done some daring action scenes in the film. Badrinath in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam is scheduled to release in the first week of June worldwide.

Health condition of actor Rajanikanth improved

It is well known that Rajnikanth was admitted to the Sri Ram Chandra Hospital here for recurrent respiratory infection and gastro-intestinal problems, is stable and he is spending time with his family members.

According to a statement issued by the hospital, Rajnikanth has undergone relevant investigations and is receiving appropriate and comprehensive treatment by a team of doctors. His fundamental parameters are stable and there is nothing to worry about his health.

The 61 year old superstar was admitted May 13 for detailed investigations into his respiratory and gastro-intestinal problems – the third time in just over three weeks he has been admitted to a hospital.

This is something a strange and unusual situation which happened for Rajini’s Rana. Earlier many insurance companies were eager to provide cover for superstar Rajinikanth’s films but the situation has changed as the companies are on the back foot due to the adverse reports about the Rajini’s ill health.

New India Assurance and United India Insurance who covered the insurance risk for blockbuster hit Enthiran are now not interested to extend insurance coverage for Rana, according to a report by the online edition of a Hyderabad based financial newspaper.

A New India Assurance official said “By take into account of Rajini’s health, it is going to be a chancy proposal for us to provide insurance cover for the movie. We will not consider it any more”.

A senior officer of United India Insurance said “Insurance is given only against the incidence of uncertain events. No company will be undertaking this proposal as the lead star of the film itself is not good at health. Even if any company insures the film the coverage would keep out losses arising as a re­sult of Rajini’s health problems”.

Belly Button beauty Tapsee Pannu now busy in Kollywood

Tapsee Pannu is surely a lucky girl. She debuted in Tollywood with K Raghavendar Rao’s film starring Manchu Manoj and then signed her next with his brother Manchu Vishnu. She now got into Bollywood with David Dhawan’s film which will go on floors soon. She is also busy in Tamil. Her Tamil movie ‘Aadukalam’ with Dhanush did well in Tamil and she is reportedly being roped in by superstar Suriya in his next movie.

Besides, Tapsee is also doing a Malayalam film ‘Doubles’ with Mammoty as the hero. This way she would be one of the youngest actresses to have acted in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam film industries. This season, Tapsee has ‘Mr.Perfect’ releasing in Telugu. Besides, she is busy shooting for ‘Veera’ in with Raviteja which will release next month. Producers claim it is easy to work with her as she puts in extra efforts to suit her roles. Besides, she learnt the language and now understands how to emote exactly in scenes. She is now preparing for Krishna Vamsi’s film ‘Mogudu’ in which she stars with Gopichand. Apparently, Krishna Vamsi is sending her CDs with details about her charecter and description of her role so that she can perform well. Hansika Motwani’s debut film, Maapillai may have hit the theatres only today but the actress is currently the hottest property in K-town. Hansika will now be paired opposite Illayathalapathi Vijay in Pagalavan. Expressing her happiness in being associated with a mass hero like Vijay, Hansika considers it an honor.

The heroes in Kollywood are very fast in terms of their career as one after the other are signing the films even before the present project gets wrapped up. Now latest we hear is that Thala Ajith who is busy with his current project Mankatha got attracted to Jayam Raja’s script and will be joining hands with him for this project.

It was earlier revealed that director Venkat Prabhu will be doing a project with Vijay and Ajith but there is no buzz on this front. So in the mean time Jayam Raja decided to cast Ajith in his next film after Velayudham. As of now Ajith is busy with Mankatha and after this he will be moving to Billa 2 directed by Chakri Toleti. Gossip is that Thala will be starting his project with Jayam Raja once he completes his prior projects.

Vikram's Award Winning perfomance in 'Deiva Thiru Magan'

Vikram’s scorching heat performance in ‘Pithamaghan’ won him incredible accolades that includes National award. Although the actor continued to gear up for power-packed performances in various movies, he wasn’t able to bag the honors again. But now, the actor keeps his fingers crossed that his upcoming film ‘Deiva Thiru Magan’.

The actor acclaims director Vijay’s skills as he admits that he was his complete inspiration on every shot. The entire crew except Anushka and Amala Paul were absent and that was a mere disappointment for the ‘Lenses’ as they hoped to click best shots of these glam-beauties.

Vikram unraveled a surprising element that for the first time, Anushka takes on deglamorized roles and is sure to win awards.

The audio launch of ‘Deiva Thiru Magan’ will be held on April 14 followed by film’s release in May.

The actor has played Krishnan, a grown up adult whose mental growth is that of a five-year-old, in his forthcoming film ‘Deiva Thiru Magan,’, directed by ‘Madrasapattinam’ fame Vijay and produced by Mogan Nadarajan.

And those who got an opportunity to watch clippings from the film are awestruck by the Cheeyan’s performance. “He is simply the best. Many coveted awards are waiting for Vikram’s performance in this film,” a source tells us. Says director Vijay, “since the actions of Vikram’s character are as pure as gold, quite like a child, we used to call him ‘Chella Kutty Krishnan’. Besides playing the lead role, he has also sung a song in Deiva Thiru Magan.”

Dhanush, Tamannah new movie "Vengai" songs shooting progressed in Kuala Lumpur

Dhanush and Tamannah are in Kuala Lumpur to shoot a song sequence for Vengai. Word is that music director Devi Sri Prasad has done such a fantastic job that director Hari wants to make sure that the song sequences are a standout feature in his film. One romantic song has already been shot in beautiful Munnar and this song is going to be a foot-tapping, dream sequence with some superb dance moves put together by ace choreographer, Brinda.

Srikanth now full of confidence he signed a new project Ethiri En 3

Srikanth is full of confidence. The actor is keen to make a comeback in Kollywood, with a couple of promising projects on his hand. While one of them is an open secret (‘Nanban’), the other film is ‘Ethiri En 3’. Directed by Ramkumar, the film will be an urban entertainer which would revolve around the life of a software professional. “It will show some darker sides of city life,” reveals Srikanth.

Shedding more light, he says, “A simple man from an ordinary background becomes a techie. In the city, he has to come across certain problems. How he faces hurdles before him is the crux.” Saying that he is more careful while choosing scripts, Srikanth says, “I signed Ethiri En 3 only after I got thoroughly convinced that it will be a good follow-up to Nanban. It has all the requisite elements to become a hit.”

Prakash Raj joined Hari's new film Venghai

Prakash Raj has joined his favourite director Hari’s new film Venghai, which has Dhanush and Tamannah in the lead. Prakash and Hari have great understanding and the director has given him impressive villain roles in Singam, Ayya.,

Prakash who is the busiest actor in south India is actually replacing Kalabhavan Mani, who has fallen out with the director. Prakash is any day a more saleable actor, and Venghai becomes commercially more viable project with his inclusion in the cast.

Nayanthara Nice Part To Comment On Asin Role

Nayanthara who recently was awarded the best actress for her performance in Malayalam flick Bodyguard was inquired by media persons on her not being the first choice for the Tamil remake of the movie Kaavalan and her views on Asin doing the role. The actress replied by saying that without watching the movie she can not draw conclusions on Asin’s act in the flick.

Nayan also mentioned that she isn’t sure if director Siddique has made any other changes to the script to make it suitable for Vijay and it won’t be nice on her part to comment on Asin’s role so early. But the beauty didn’t hesitate to talk about Kareena Kapoor. She told us that Kareena liked the flick very much and decided to star in the Hindi version of it.

Rupees 4.5 crores spend by Vijay for his New Movie Kaavalan Release

Just after the bad news of Kavalan being halted hit headlines there is now news that Vijay has decided to take things in his hands. We heard that the actor has expressed his interest to pay up to 4.5 crores from his very own pocket to the labs that rolled out prints of the movie. All settlements to be done with producer Sakthi Chidambaram will be the hot topic for talks to follow.

Veteran Actor Jeeva four film release in 2011

Jeeva
Ko will be the first release that will hit screens by second week of February. The film features Jeeva in the lead role of a photo-journalist who earns the wrath of politicians for exposing their true colors. The film is directed by cinematographer turned filmmaker K.V. Anand, whose previous films Kana Kandein and Ayan were blockbusters. Recently the film was screened for a group of celebrities and they gestured with a standing ovation after the show.

Jeeva’s other film Singam Puli directed by Sai Ramani is scheduled to hit screens in March. The film has the actor playing dual roles of a lawyer and fisherman. Divya Spandana and Honey Rose are playing female lead roles while Santhanam takes care of comedy portions.

Producer R.B. Choudary is planning to release Roudram by last week of April while Vandhan Vendran directed by Kannan, an associate of Manirathnam will get released by September. The film is produced by K. Srinivasan of Vasan Visual Ventures and is reported to be a crime-thriller set in backdrops of Mumbai.

Simbhu and Anushka's Vaanam Movie release on February 14, 2011

Vaanam is expected to grace the screens during the second week of February. This is the decision made by the film makers, so as to attract the youngsters during the Valentines Day week. The film is the remake of Telugu hit ‘Vedam’. Director Krish made crisp changes in the script to make the film look fresh for the Kollywood audience.

Simbu shares the screen with Bharath, Prakash Raj, Anushka, Sneha Ullal, Vega and Sonia Agarwal for this new genre film. Yuvan Shankar has scored the music and the single track which was released recently received a great applause from the music lovers. The audio is expected to hit the stores soon.
