Plugging a film in the makeover of its protagonist is a new trend amidst Bollywood's leading stars; Akshay Kumar (Khatta Meetha), Salman Khan (Dabangg) and Vivek Oberoi (Rakht Charitra) have used the ploy effectively of late.
A bearded Bachchan in black car coat, plaid scarf and dark sunglasses looked fierce at the launch of Raj Kumar Santoshi's action thriller, Power, on September 22.
The star studded launch event was attended by the entire cast - Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Ameesha Patel, Kangana Ranaut, Anuradha Patel and Lekha Washington and crew.

‘Minsara Kanavu’ Kajol blessed with baby boy
‘Minsara Kanavu’ heroine Kajol delivered her second child this morning at the Leelavati Hospital in Mumbai. The actress did the female lead in Rajeev Menon’s Minsara Kanavu along with Arvind Swamy and Prabhu Deva, a decade back
Kajol is married to Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan and the couple already has a daughter named Nysa, 7 years old.”It’s a wonderful feeling. I can’t express the feeling in words,” said Ajay, after becoming a dad again. “I thank everyone for their blessings and good wishes,” added the actor, speaking from the hospital.
This is a doubly joyful occasion for the couple as the newborn’s arrival coincided with the auspicious Ganpati festival.
Sources close to the couple said the mother and the baby are doing fine.
Kolly-Theater and team wishes the family on the new arrival.

Seen through the eyes of a police officer, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai traces the changing face of the Mumbai underworld.
The film, set primarily in 1970 Mumbai, follows the rise of Sultan (Ajay Devgn), and his eventual fall, when his protégé Shoaib (Emraan Hashmi), challenges his supremacy, and usurps power to rule the murky underbelly of Mumbai. It is believed to be loosely based on the life of Haji Mastan and Dawood Ibrahim.
The film is treated in an avante garde fashion, bursting with color, underlining the style of the 70s and 80s.
