Dhanush, Tamannah new movie "Vengai" songs shooting progressed in Kuala Lumpur

Dhanush and Tamannah are in Kuala Lumpur to shoot a song sequence for Vengai. Word is that music director Devi Sri Prasad has done such a fantastic job that director Hari wants to make sure that the song sequences are a standout feature in his film. One romantic song has already been shot in beautiful Munnar and this song is going to be a foot-tapping, dream sequence with some superb dance moves put together by ace choreographer, Brinda.

The entire unit has fallen in love with the tunes composed by DSP and they are all confident that they are going to be the rage across Tamil Nadu. Clash between Dhanush and Simbhu once again

It is almost confirmed that one time bitter foes now good friends Dhanush and Simbu will clash once again. Yes, two of their eagerly awaited films Mappillai and Vaanam respectively are scheduled to release on April 8, 2011! As per our trade sources, Sun Pictures have told their regular set of theatres and distributors to take Mappillai booking from April 8.

Meanwhile Ganesh the producer of Vaanam feels that April 8 is one of summer 2011′s best dates to release a film. The world cup finals would be over on April 2 and the IPl would just have started and interest on cricket will be low after the world cup. The Tamil Nadu 2011 assembly elections though dates are yet to be announced are likely to be in the last week of April.

Seedan Movie Got Clear "U" Certificate

Mith Productions Seedan, directed by Subramaniyam Shiva has been cleared by the censors with a clean `U` certificate.  It is the first film in recent times to be passed by the censors without any visual cuts or muting. Seedan is an adaptation of the 2002 writer and director Renjith`s Malayalam super hit film Nandanam. The highlight of the film is Dhanush`s 40-minute special appearance in a crucial role.

Debutant Krishna and Nadodigal fame Ananya are in the romantic lead. The others in the cast are Vivek, Suhasini, Meera Krishnan, Sheela, Ponvannan and Ilavarasu. The film has music by Dheena, camera by Srinivas Devamsam, a former assistant of PC Sreeram. Subramaniyam Shiva is said to have made a nice family entertainer, with essential ingredients. Seedan is now slated for a big release in Tamil Nadu on 25th February.

Surprise Gift for Actor Dhanush on Christmas

Dhanush was in Karaikudi shooting for the film but he did not miss to enjoy the festive mood. His wife Darshana and close friend Vijay Yesudas surprised him by visiting him on the sets. It was a pleasant surprise gift for the actor on the Christmas. Later, they spent the whole day together and had a fun filled day.

Sharing this experience, Dhanush tweeted that he was lucky to spend the day with his close friend and wife. Dhanush has one more reason to be happy because his last release Uthama Puthiran has successfully completed 50 days at the Box Office. Taking this opportunity, the actor thanked to his fans for liking his film and making it a consecutive fifth successful film for him. We wish Dhanush a wonderful and successful New Year ahead.

Dhanush's "Aadukalam" Movie released on Pongal 2010

It is official that Sun Pictures has confirmed that their Dhanush, Tapasee, Vetrimaran directed Aadukalam will be a Pongal 2011 release. Earlier the film was announced as a December 10 release. The audio launched recently is slowly becoming a hit.

Sun Pictures have announced Aadukalam as a Pongal release in today’s Tamil newspapers. Dhanush has tweeted that his “dream film” will be a Pongal release. Last Pongal too Dhanush had Kutty releasing for the festival.

Dhanush Secreat Gift Tapasee Pannu

Tapasee Pannu revealed that she was very afraid when she stepped into Tamil Nadu for the first time few months back for the shooting with actor Dhanush for the Aadukalam movie! “My first shooting spot was in Madurai. It was a completely new place and I was afraid to be with completely new people. But actor Dhanush stood my me and soothed me” she revealed.

She also revealed that she had a lot of problems communicating with the people there and then Dhanush gave her a book to learn the Tamil language in 30 days! “Daily I used to byheart the words and in just one month, i was able to speak and understand Tamil” she says.

Dhanush Upcoming Movie Aruva Title Change Vengai

Dhanush has begun working for his next film Vengai. Directed by Hari, this film is touted to be a mass masala which will hit the screens next year. Dhanush says that it is a different experience and the posters of Vengai will prove that it is a typical Hari film.

The film was initially titled Aruva but the director changed it to Vengai. There are reports that it may go in for another name change owing to some problems in procuring the title which has already been registered by another filmmaker.

Uthamaputhiran Movie Faces Coimbatore Protests

‘Uthamaputhiran’, the film which was having a spectacular run at the box office seems to have run into a spate of trouble lately. The film starring the young pair of Dhanush and Genelia seems to have enraged the residents of Coimbatore.

A number of protests have been staged against showing the film which the groups claim include a few scenes that are objectionable to them. The protesters belong to a particular caste based group and are not happy with some of the scenes which project them in a bad light. They were speaking on behalf of a particular community which claims to have been at the receiving end in ‘Uthamaputhiran’.

The director, Mithran R Jawahar when contacted by the media admitted that the particular community had received a mention in his film. The film is a complete entertainer suitable for the entire family and as such does not cast aspersions on any caste or creed belonging to the nation, was his explanation. They are absolutely no scenes included in the entire film that can be called as objectionable or hurtful in any way whatsoever, he concluded. The director also stated that the producer of ‘Uthamaputhiran’ is in Coimbatore at the moment trying to sort out the problem.

Simbhu vs Dhanush for Diwali?

Talks were literally high and expectations were bigger  than before as Kamal Haasan’s ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ and Vijay’s ‘Kaavalan’ were scheduled to hit screens for Diwali. But as their shooting schedules are being delayed, the release dates have been postponed to mid-of-December.

Dhanush’s ‘Utthamaputhiran’ is almost completed and the audio launch will likely take place after the release of ‘Enthiran’. It’s worth mentioning that Gemini Film Circuit has acquired the Hindi rights of ‘Enthiran’ and has already sold out the film for record-breaking price. The film is a remake of yesteryear Telugu hit ‘Ready’ and features Dhanush-Genelia D’ Souza in lead roles with more than dozen of famous actors being a part of this family drama.

Silambarasan’s multi-starrer ‘Vaanam’ is rapidly progressing as Krish is busy shooting for the portions pertaining to other actors Bharath, Sonia Agarwal and Prakash Raj.

The fans are now expecting the release of both these films for the festive occasion of Diwali.

Dhanush back to his work

Actor Dhanush was hospitalized in Chennai recently due to high fever. Now the actor is back home, fit and healthy. He recently tweeted, "Hey guys I'm back after a very bad week of health !! Yeah guys I'm better !! Can't work 4 another week ! Nadal winning is my only medicine !!"

Dhanush is currently busy with Maapillai opposite Hansika Motwani, Vettrimaran's Aadukalam, Selvaraghavan's Maruvan and Uthamaputhiran opposite Genelia.

So now that Nadal has won the US open title, let's wish Dhanush a speedy recovery!

M V Mohan, Appa Rao and T Ramesh Tandra are jointly producing a film titled Utthamaputhiran under the banner Balaji Creations. Dhanush, Genelia, Vivek, K Bhagyaraj and Karunaas are starring in this film.

Mithran R Jawahar is directing this film. While speaking about the film, he said,” Utthamaputhiran will have comedy, action and love like in the films Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Kutty which I have directed. The sensational chasing and fighting sequence was shot in Tirunalveli and Chennai.

When Ashish Vidyarthi and J P comes to know that Dhanush is in love with their girl, both become furious. They call ‘ Naan Kadavul’ Rajendran and asks him to kill Dhanush. How Dhanush escapes from this murder can be seen in the chasing sequence.

Comedy, seriousness and exasperation will be the highlights of the film. Rambo Rajkumar’s protégé Rough Rajashekar has given the stunt trainings. Dhanush, Genelia, Aarthi, Srinath along with other stunt actors have acted in this sequence. The shooting of the film has been completed.”

Dhanush Become Dad Again

The entire Kollywood is brimming with joy almost all of as its favorite actors have become dads. Recently, Surya-Jyothika were blessed with a baby boy and now it’s the turn of actors Dhanush-Aishwarya. This morning 21st June, 2010, Aishwarya Dhanush delivered a baby boy at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai. The entire family including Superstar Rajnikanth were elated about the new member.

Dhanush conveyed the message of becoming a dad through Twitter – “Aishwarya gave birth to a baby boy today morning at 6 21 am!! I’m a father of 2 boys! Happy morning! God bless!’

It’s nice to hear good news from Dhanush and Aishwarya. Well, within the next few days, it’s going to be great news from Ajith Kumar too as his wife-actress Shalini has conceived again.
