The grapevine has it that her character is the pivot around which the Suriya film revolves. Suriya and Shruti, the new romantic pair will sizzle on screen with their chemistry. There are unconfirmed reports that Shruti has sung a song in the film which has music by Harris Jayaraj.

Remember Shruti had earlier sung the chartbuster Adiye Kolluthe for Harris in Vaaranam Aayiram? Recently Shruthi wore a traditional saree for 7am Arivu. Everybody on the sets just could not stop gaping in admiration, as she looked stunning and beautiful. Her costumes in the film will give her an all new look.

Meanwhile stories have appeared in Mumbai press that Shruti and Siddharth are “living together to know each other better.”  When contacted Shruti told tkada “I’m a very private person when it comes to my personal life. I have never discussed it with the media and I hope everyone will respect it”

Director AR Murgadoss`s Surya and Shruti Haasan starrer 7am Arivu produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and his Red Giant Movies, have started their final schedule in the suburbs of Chennai. Ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran is shooting some very difficult action scenes along with Peter Heyn the stunt master on the crowded Tambaram by-pass, Pallavaram areas of Chennai. Though none of the crew is willing to speak it looks like the climax of the film.

Surya and Shruti Haasan are taking part in the shoot where our hero bashes up a dozen goons. Surya is likely to complete the shoot of the film by March end. Murgadoss will take over two months for post production as there is a lot of graphics involved. The release date of 7am Arivu which was originally planned for April first week, as the big summer release will now get pushed by at least three months.

Shruti Haasan Expected Nanbaenda Movie

When approached, Shruti Haasan’s representative, speaking on behalf of the actress, refuses to accept the fact that she is already a part of the upcoming Kollywood venture. Rather, the representative says that director of ‘Nanbaenda’ Rajesh is still in talks with Shruti Haasan briefing her on the character she will have to portray in his upcoming project, however, the actress has not signed on the dotted line yet.

It is to be recalled here that the title ‘Nanbaenda’ has been taken from Rajesh’s superhit commercial potboiler ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’. It was a phrase made famous in the earlier release and this time Rajesh has penned a script for ‘Nanbaenda’ which will reportedly give equal screen space to the hero and the heroine of his upcoming project. Therefore, it is expected that Shruti haasan has been offered quite a meaty role in ‘Nanbaenda’. After the box office dud Luck, Shruti Haasan will next be seen in the Madhur Bhandarkar film Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji for Bollywood.

At moment, the hottest commercial director in Kollywood is Rajesh. His Siva Manasulla Sakthi (SMS) and Boss Engira Baskaran (BEB) were not only successful, but gave a new lease of life to its heroes Jeeva and Arya. So it was not surprising when Udhayanidhi Stalin after hearing the script of his Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (a title taken from SMS song), decided to launch himself as hero under Rajesh’s direction.

Udhayanidhi and Rajesh have renamed the film as Nanbenada (after punchline expression in BEB). In Nanbenada, heroine has an important role and as much footage as the hero. The Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that Rajesh and Udhayanidhi have roped in Shruthi Haasan to play this important role. The actress is already playing heroine in Udhayanidhi’s Red Giant produced 7am Arivu opposite Surya. However, when contacted Shruthi was not avalable for comment. Sruthi’s manager has confirmed that she is in negotiation with Red Giants, and will confirm the news only after she signs on the dotted line.

Ezham Arivu is a film which has Surya and Shruthi Haasan in the lead roles. This film is being directed by A R Murugadoss. The heroine has a meatier role than the usual heroines.

Because of this she will be with Surya throughout the film.Now Murugadoss feels that he can complete the film without any complications if he is able to trim her portions. Why Murugadoss has taken such a decision.


It is because of Shruthi’s punctuality. The cast and crew who come in time had to wait for Shruthi Haasan’s arrival. Normally the leading actors do not wait for the heroines. Even if at all they wait for one or two times, they will simply walk away because of their ego saying that they can be called after the arrival of the heroine. Shruthi Haasan is almost done with her Hindi film ‘Dil Tho Bachcha Hai’ and she has flown down to Bangkok for another schedule. She is simultaneously acting in the Telugu film starring opposite Siddarth. Her magnum opus ‘7 Aum Arivu’ is progressing at the right momentum. With these entire big projects in hands, Shruthi is sure to wipe the disasters of her debut film Luck.
