Asin and Neil Nitin pair in Ravi Chopra's Pocketmar | Asin new flick in Bollywood with Ravi Chopra's Movie

Asin
Neil Nitin Mukesh does not figure among the top 10 Bollywood stars. However, as per media reports Asin is going to be Neil’s heroine in Ravi Chopra’s Pocketmar! Remember, that after Ghajini, Asin had made it clear that she will only act with Bollywood’s A team of stars like SRK, Salman, Hrithik, Saif etc. She had refused early in her career to do films with today’s hot heroes like Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan!

According to sources, Asin bagged the role because the other top Bollywood actresses have date problems and some of them are not very keen to pair up with a relatively new hero like Neil Nitin. Now suddenly Asin is in the news by having dinner with him and the hungry entertainment media in Mumbai is spinning stories about their togetherness. Asin’s live projects at the moment are Vijay’s Kaavalan in Tamil and Salman Khan’s Ready in Hindi

Asin in Chennai. Red carpet rolled

Asin, after all the controversy over her visit to Sri Lanka and coo chi cooing with the government forces there is back at work and that too in Chennai. Tamil community was outraged at Asin’s visit to Sri Lanka and moving in the company of the President’s wife in military helicopter. Asin was able to go to areas declared high security zones and are banned even for international media and NGOs.

Asin with all her courage poo poohed the unity call of Tamil film industry and resumed her work for Vijay's film 'Kaaval Kaadhal'. The actress was seen shooting with Vijay in RCR region of Chennai with out any protest even to the minimum.

Does this mean the problem is over and Asin will not be troubled anymore? Was Asin right from the beginning when she daringly challenged the dictates of FEFSI? Will more stars be allowed to go to Sri Lanka in future? How are they planning to tackle the ban call given by the Tamil communities outside India including the largest Tamil organization FeTNA?

It’s good to have plans to cross the bridge even before they reach the bridge.

Asin could face Ban in Kollywood?

Actress Asin could face a ban from the South Indian films. In fact, a decision on her ban is expected to be made by the South Indian Film Artistes' Association shortly.

The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) has decided to boycott Bollywood actors and technicians who performed at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Sri Lanka, following allegations of genocide against Lankan Tamils during the war against the (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam) LTTE and the continuing discrimination against them.

Asin is currently shooting with Salman Khan in Sri Lanka for Anees Bazmee's ‘Ready’, a remake of the Telugu hit ‘Ready’. This ban on Asin will significantly affect her career in movies and commercials. Also, Asin has acted in a Kollywood film ‘Kaavalkaran’ with Vijay and it would be interesting to see how SIFCC reacts to this film.
